Joel Kayima is a dynamic, award-winning actor with a burning passion for devised theatre and film productions. A graduate of the esteemed Cuesta College Theatre Arts program, Kayima was awarded 10 prestigious awards from the John F. Kennedy Center for Art for his performance in Ghost Ship, a critically-acclaimed theatrical production that was directed by bree Valle and ran for an impressive 150 shows.
On screen, Joel Kayima shined as the lead in Glasses, directed by Ian Whittenber, where he brought depth and authenticity to the role of an inventor with unimaginable power to control human minds. Additionally, he played a pivotal supporting role in Adam Taylor’s Pick Me, a short film that showcased Kayima’s versatility as he played a father experiencing crippling self-doubt and social anxiety.
With a unique ability to embody complex characters, Kayima continues to capture audiences both on stage and on screen.
